The last coherent thing I heard Anna say was "O boy, o boy, oboyo", even though she didn't open her eyes, she was still being lucid at times, when I told her we heard finally that her sister was on the plane after being snowed in on the East coast.

It will always make me smile to know that she carb counted her paper plate, or her brother Walter did, (0 carbs, 9 grams fiber) when she was still doing that, keeping track. It's been a blessing to be able to be there, and I love her so. She was surrounded by loving people to the end.

I will miss her.

I met Anna at a Vanguard a bazillion years ago, and worked with her peripherally at the City of Seattle for a while about 6 years ago. She was a cool woman. :(

I've been following Jane's LJ to keep up with Anna's situation. Though I didn't know her well, I certainly remember her lively energy from Vanguard. It's a terrible loss both generally and specifically. I'm glad that she had such good people present, and conscious connection with those who were not present. Thank you.
