I want everyone who reads this to ask me 3 questions, no more no less. Ask me anything you want, I'll answer - but my answer will be a lie. Then I want you to go to your journal, copy and paste this allowing your friends (including me) to ask you 3 questions to which your answers will be lies.

Why, why, WHY?!

Well, [livejournal.com profile] replyhazy did it and I thought the answers very amusing. I wondered, actually if I could do this as I hate lying. It's a cause for me to drop somebody and not consider them for anymore dating or further sharing or personal information about me, though I can still be civil to them in public. This was instilled in out family from the moment we were born I think. But I wonder if there is anyone who doesn't lie ever. I wonder if it's really possible.

OK, so that wasn't lying in my answer to your three whys. Huh. Maybe I can't do this exercise.

Yes, I meant them as a joking way to provide three questions. Zut allors!

1. Do you ever lie?
2. What is your favorite color?
3. How many fingers am I holding up?

What on earth is the point of this? I should be most interested in hearing why you want to participate in this meme.

I thought it was a really amusing but brief creative writing exercise, myself.

You're responses were why I thought I'd see if anyone would ask me anything. Though people don't do that (respond to me in LJ), I thought of it as a writing exercise, too. But when I thought about it, I realize I would have problems with some of it, though if it were taken in a comedic manner (like most of your questions and answers were) I can get into the spirit of things. I was very amused by your responses.

These meme things are kind of weird, aren't they? I mean, some of them require less brain than a carpenter ant, while some of them make you think a good bit. I wish there were more of the second kind. They're certainly more fun to read, and more interesting than using one's favorite color to determine which member of Josie and the Pussycats one resembles.

See above. I actually think now it is impossible for me to do this. Partly because only 2 or 3 people will even acknowledge that I posted something, let alone ask me anything, and then again, because I have these huge personal judgements on people lying to me and me being forced into a situation where I withhold information (don't tell the whole story) or 'fudge', or go along with something I do not believe in. But I thought [livejournal.com profile] replyhazy's responses were very entertaining.

ReplyHazy has clarified the creative writing aspect, and her own answers in her journal were most amusing indeed. But I am with you. There's something about explicitly agreeing to lie that seems to rub the wrong way. There are perhaps different writing exercises that would be more fruitful in eliciting a creative response. Maybe we could make up our own!
